Qualification Shoot (Live Fire)
The purpose of this event is to familiarize our members with the actual workings & feel of firing a rifle with live ammunition. By actually shooting their rifle live, they will better understand how different it is when compared to the usual blanks used at events.  For the Marksman competition, our members will be using their own German K98s.  The winner of the shoot will be awarded the German marksman lanyard to be worn on his uniform during "walking out" occasions.  

If you are participating in this shoot, be sure your rifle is in good working order & clean.  You will need at least 20 rounds of live Mauser ammo.  Please bring your own ear protection.

Paintball Combat
There are two purposes for this event.  The first is to mainly have FUN with the second being a more educational purpose.  While reenacting, many of us don't realize what it is like to really be shot at with actual rounds coming at us.  While not the same, paintball guns offer a way for us to simulate actual in coming fire.  It is hoped that this combat exercise using period tactics will help our members to better understand how the maneuvers/tactics actually worked with incoming & suppressing fire.

They will also come out of this experience with a better understanding of how one would react when a shot is heard or how they would avoid open fields.  No longer will they just walk tall, but rather stay low. By taking this experience & using it while at historical events will help to better our combat impressions (hopefully).

We will have some paint for sale at the site, but we recommend bringing your own if possible.  There will be a CO2 charging station on site.  Those who wish to take advantage of the rental package above must make reservations & payments no later than Tueday (July 10th).  Contact Jon Bocek at: poilu1917@aol.com

Bonfire / Cookout
Stay afterwards for socializing, food, & drink.  Please bring something to contribute.  Camping is available to those interested.
