Guidelines

Food:
Food should be that of German iron rations & food scrounged from the local areas. We are in Germany, so acquired "period" civilian foodstuffs are permitted.  Of course all items must be wrapped in period style and have period labels (nothing modern).

Appearance:
Hair should resemble a period style cut. Short on sides and sort of long on top.  If you do not hair a proper period hair cut, WE WILL CUT IT FOR YOU!

For this event, stubble is permitted. Please, no full beards, no mustaches, & no side burns.  The dirtier your uniform & gear are, the better!!!

The Uniform:

1. Helmet -
M42 helmets are preferred, but earlier models are acceptable.  The less decals on the helmets the better (please no double decals) & no camo helmets please.

2. Cap -
M43 caps in feldgrau or late war brown wool.

3. Tunic -
M44, 43, & 42 tunics are preferred but M40 tunics are acceptable.

4. Trousers -
M43 or M44 trousers preferred.  M40 model in feldgrau acceptable.

5. Footwear -
Low boots and gamaschen are highly encouraged, but jackboots are allowed if the previous version is unavailable. Please no winter boots.

6. Shirt -
M41 service shirt preferred.

7. Greatcoat -
M42 or M40 mantels (overcoats) are highly recommended.  M36 acceptable

8. Equipment -
Basic infantry gear setup is the call.  A mix of web & leather gear is documented.  Everyone should have and wear the gas-can (with gas-cape bag is encouraged), shovel, & bayonet.

Note: Please bring your tornisters to this event.  We will be having a formation with them that we weren't able to do at FIG.
