General Guidelines
updated 9/9 at 4:50pm

1. All participants are expected to follow the authenticity regulations for their impression.  These can be found in the links to the left.  Please note that only the impressions listed at left are authorized to be in attendance.  Sorry NO airborne, American, or civilian impressions will be permitted.

2. The event will go “tactical” at 2000 Fri 5. The initial units will move into the field and take positions. Participants arriving after 2000 will be led out to the field by someone thereafter.

3. All participants must report to registration upon arrival. After kitting up they will need to report back for a look over by our authenticity inspectors. They will be mainly looking for obvious violations. Remember, If you have any questions about any item you are bringing, please contact us and we will help you out.

4. No filtered cigarettes.

5. Blatant Drunkenness and Illegal Drug Use are grounds for ejection from the event!

6. All alcohol needs to be in a period container.

7. All participants will follow the chain of command and follow the orders they are given. If you need to leave early, report to your squad leader and let him know.

8. If you take a prisoner, you will disarm him and do a spot check of his pockets for Identification. DO NOT TAKE SOUVENIRS! Take the POW to your HQ for interrogation.

9. There will be NO KAMIKAZE ATTACKS! NO UNAUTHORIZED MOVEMENTS, RECONS OR ATTACKS! If your not ordered to do something, don’t do it.

10. The majority of troops hit during combat received some type of wound from which they will eventually fully or partially recover. The rest are either mortally wounded or a lesser number killed outright. At this event we are drawing our practice from groups that recreate other eras and are asking that you, within reason, act out your hit by either being wounded and crawling or limping to safety, even if it means capture or lying still on the field until the action passes you by or the medics come to get you. We all realize, especially the real veterans among us that this is not a portrayal to be taken lightly. We are not attempting to cause any disrespect to those who have paid this price in life. However if it is our common goal to portray at times the combat actions of World War Two as accurately as possible, perhaps this will serve as a reminder to us the gravity of the events that we try desperately to represent and educate about.

This brings us to real injuries. If during the event you are injured or are next to a man that is injured please call out CORPSMAN. Why Corpsman you ask? First we have no Marine units on site. Secondly we will have men portraying Allied Medics. I’m sure you would see the confusion. If you have ever been involved with an event at the Newville Trenches then this will not be new.

11. Each participant must adhere to the Uniform & Equipment Guidelines set forth for their side (German/British/Commonwealth).  Links to these guidelines can be found at the upper left of this page.

12. This is a 36 hour event that will run from Friday night to hopefully Sunday morning!  You must be prepared to live on the frontline.  Unlike most events, you will be tactical all throughout the weekend once it starts.  Rest assured you will have ample time to rest & socialize off the main line, but it will in a secondary position.  There are NO "base camps!"  You will be digging positions, eating rations, & sleeping "at the front."  What you bring, you must be able to carry in.  Over the course of the event, you maybe moved from one position to another.  This may not always be in the same place.
